A little bit about our business; Latina Jenkins, MSN, RN-NIC, Jasmine Brown, MS, and myself Kristina Way, BSN, RN are all college friends from our beloved HBCU- Hampton University, that have found and pursued nursing as a passion. We are in three different stages of our profession, one a nurse manager, myself an experienced nurse transitioning into a nurse practitioner, and one continuing her education following a second career as a nurse.
During the last 10 years we have realized the health disparities that effect our community, especially African Americans and we want to take an active part in changing those narratives. We decided to create a business where we can share information, help navigate the next future motivated nurse, and actively take part in our community by providing health screenings, health information, and a resource for those who need navigation in healthcare.
We created a social media presence because we thought it was important to put our faces out there as motivation for those following behind us. We launched January 2019 and our first event that was a huge success. Along with our social media efforts, our community presence is vital and effective. We want to be apart of the necessary changes and growth that must occur in our village and culture, we appreciate any support with our venture. Thank you for being apart of our journey.
